Signs We're Getting Old

1. "You don't do anything small, do you?" - Kurt
I now have a cell phone, cable internet, and am working on getting iChat AV and a digital camera. The age of technophobia is officially over. I don't think I could possibly kill it any more deader (the English language, however....).
2. I have been unable to find The Cure's "Seventeen Seconds" album in any retail stores I've visited recently. This can only mean that The Cure, unlike many other 80s bands that have been re-vamped for the new generation, just isn't being listened to as much as they were, i.e., there is no longer a demand for The Cure's "Seventeen Seconds" album.
3. Michael Stipe was on "Last Call with Carson Daly" last night.
4. Even Michael Stipe can no longer remember the words to "It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)."
5. Shane MacGowan already has documentaries on cable television, and he isn't even dead yet (although that could be argued).
6. Liz Phair's latest album was produced by the same people who made Avril Levigne.
7. The Descendents' "Milo Goes to College" album was featured on a horrible teen show on the WB Tuesday night.

Brave New World indeed.
